- Original artwork only.

- Must be 18 years or older to enter.

- International submission accepted.

- Artwork must be 2D. 

- Artwork much be created after February 27th, 2026.

- Open to all mediums and art styles. Graphic art and fine art is welcome!

- Theme: Artwork should be directed towards, but not limited to - International Year of the Woman Farmer, the American Dream, Marieke Gouda, or Marieke Penterman herself.

- Email Submissions: must be a high resolution JPEG or PDF.

- Confirmation: When we receive your submission we will email you a confirmation. IF YOU DON'T RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION, YOU NEED TO EMAIL US.  

Cash Prizes: 1st Place = $2,500, 2nd Place = $1,500, 3rd Place = $750

Judging:
Judging criteria includes artistic quality and originality, storytelling and emotional impact, connection to Marieke's journey and values, and celebration of women, craft, and agriculture. Judging will be done by a four-person panel of judges include Marieke herself, a Cheese State University student, a woman in agriculture leadership, and a local artist. 

Use of AI:
Entries must be created in their entirety by the human entrant. Works generated, in whole or in part, by Artificial Intelligence, including, but not limited to, text-to-image generators, are strictly prohibited. The use of AI tools to generate, alter, or enhance any part of the submission will result in immediate disqualification, and any prize awarded will be forfeited. Marieke Marketing LLC has the sole discretion to determine if a work is considered AI-generated. Finalists may be required to submit proof of their creative process (sketchbook pages, layered PSD files.)

The top three prize winning digital copies become property of Marieke Gouda Marketing LLC for use. A signed Release Form must accompany your submittal. All artwork NOT selected as prize winners will have the copyright ownership remain with the artist and there will be no duplication by Marieke Marketing LLC without expressed permission and written consent. 

If selected as one of the three award winners, the entrant assigns all rights, title, and interest in the submitted artwork to Marieke Marketing LLC, including all copyright and intellectual property rights. As an award winner, Marieke Marketing LLC shall own a digital copy of the physical artwork. The entrant waives any claims to royalties or future proceeds from the reproduction of the artwork in any and all capacities. The entrant grants Marieke Marketing LLC an exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, and distribute the winning submission for promotional, marketing, and exhibition purposes. The entrant represents and warrants that they are the sole creator of the work, that the work is original, does not infringe upon any third-party rights, and does not contain any AI-generated components. If the artwork is not selected as a prize winner, the entrant retains all copyright ownership, and Marieke Marketing LLC will not duplicate or use the artwork without expressed written permission.
