Marieke Gouda Potato Bake

Ingredients (serves 4):

  • 3 russet potatoes, peeled

  • 2 tablespoons butter, cut up

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup Marieke’s Black Pepper Mix Gouda Cheese, shredded

  • ¾ cup milk

  • 1 egg, slightly beaten

  • ½ teaspoon salt


  1. Preheat oven to 350. Spray a 2 quart baking dish with cooking spray and set aside. Pierce each potato several times and microwave all potatoes together, until just starting to get tender about 5 minutes. Shred potatoes into prepared baking dish.

  2. Top potatoes with pieces of butter. Sprinkle ½ teaspoon of salt over the potatoes. Top potatoes with Marieke’s Black Pepper Mix Gouda Cheese.

  3. Combine milk, egg, and ½ teaspoon of salt in a small bowl. Pour milk mixture evenly over potatoes and cheese.

  4. Place in preheated oven and bake 30-40 minutes until potatoes are tender and cheese starts to turn golden brown. Enjoy!
