Marieke® Golden Sausage Rolls

Ingredients (makes 24 rolls):


  • 1 egg

  • 1 tablespoon water

  • 1 pound pork sausage

  • 1/2 teaspoon parsley

  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano

  • 1 cup Marieke® Golden 4-6 month, shredded

  • 1/2 of a 17.3 ounce package frozen puff pastry sheets (1 sheet), thawed



  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly grease 1 baking sheet.

  2. Whisk egg and water together in a small bowl, set aside. In a large bowl combine pork sausage, parsley, and oregano working quickly add Marieke® Golden Cheese.

  3. Unfold pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Roll out pastry sheet to 1/8 inch thick. Brush with egg mixture. Cut into three sections length wise. Divide sausage mixture into thirds. Using one third of the sausage form it into a log long enought to fit the width of the pastry. Roll the pastry around the sausage overlapping the pastry and pinching the seam together with your fingers. Place seam side down and repeat with remaining sausage and pastry sheets. Brush the tops with the egg mixture and cut sausage rolls into 2 inch logs. 

  4. Lay sausage logs seam side down on prepared baking sheet. Bake 15-18 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm or at room temperature. Enjoy!
